Terms of Service
Effective October 10, 2026 · Applies to the PawPawCare app and this website
These terms are the agreement between you and Ahmed Chioua, who builds and runs PawPawCare ("PawPawCare," "we," "us"), for using our app and website (together, the "Service"). We've kept them in plain language. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use PawPawCare
You need to be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live. If you're using PawPawCare on behalf of a household or organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it. PawPawCare is a tool for pet owners — it isn't intended for children.
2. The early-access preview
PawPawCare is currently offered as an early-access preview. Core tracking is free, and an optional paid plan may be offered (see section 9). Features may change, break, or be added and removed as we improve the product, and things won't always be perfect. We may limit, suspend, or end the preview, or any feature, at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but preview access isn't guaranteed to continue.
3. Your account
Keep your account details accurate, and keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at privacy@pawpawcare.app if you think someone else has accessed it. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Edit → Delete account, or by email (see how to delete your data).
4. Your content and your pets' data
Your pets' records, photos, notes, and the posts you create are yours. You keep ownership of them. You grant us only the permission we need to run the Service for you — to store your content, sync it across your devices, show it back to you and the people you invite, and process it as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for the content you add, and you confirm you have the right to add it. We don't sell your data.
5. Not veterinary advice
PawPawCare helps you organize your pet's health information and reminders. It does not provide veterinary, medical, or diagnostic advice, and it isn't a substitute for professional care. Reminders, schedules, weight insights, and AI-extracted details are informational and can be wrong or incomplete — always review them against original documents and rely on your veterinarian for decisions about your pet's health. In an emergency, contact a vet or emergency clinic.
6. AI document scanning
When you scan a document, we send the image to our AI provider to extract details for your review. Extraction can make mistakes, so nothing is saved to your pet's file until you approve it, and you're responsible for confirming what you keep. See the Privacy Policy for how this data is handled.
7. Sharing links
Vet share links and caretaker pages are created and shared by you. Anyone with a live link can view what it contains until it expires or you revoke it, so share them carefully. You're responsible for who you send them to.
8. Community and acceptable use
If you post in the community or publish a lost-pet report, that content is visible to other users, and you're responsible for it. Please use PawPawCare lawfully and kindly. Don't:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or post harmful, harassing, hateful, or misleading content;
- upload malware, attempt to breach or overload the Service, or access accounts or data that aren't yours;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service except as the law expressly permits;
- impersonate others or misuse lost-pet or emergency features.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or put others at risk.
9. Plans and payments
Core tracking stays free. Your pets, their records, exports, basic sharing, and deleting your account are never behind a paid plan. PawPawCare Plus is an optional subscription that adds extra features, described in the app before you buy.
- Billing. Plus is bought in the app and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) to your store account, under their terms. We never see or store your payment details.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Free trials and introductory prices. If a free trial or introductory price is offered, the app shows its length and what happens after. A free trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Refunds. Because Apple and Google process payments, refund requests go through them, under their refund policies. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to withdraw, it applies in addition.
- Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, you'll be told in advance through the App Store or Google Play, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your store settings too, or Apple or Google will keep billing you.
- Restoring purchases. If you reinstall or switch devices, use "Restore purchases" in the app with the same Apple or Google account.
- Early members. We may include Plus features for some accounts at no charge — for example, people who joined before Plus existed. If so, the app says so.
We may change what Plus includes or its price going forward, with notice as described above, but we won't move core tracking behind it. Any terms shown at purchase supplement these terms.
If we stop offering Plus or the Service. If we end the Service, or remove a Plus feature you're paying for without a fair replacement, we'll give you notice, stop future renewals, and refund the unused part of your current period where the store lets us (on Google Play we can; on the App Store we'll help you request one from Apple) or where the law requires. If we suspend or close your account because you broke these terms, unused time isn't refunded unless the law requires it.
10. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — our software, design, brand, and content we create — belongs to PawPawCare. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and website for their intended purpose while these terms are in effect. This doesn't cover your own content, which stays yours.
If you send us ideas or feedback, thank you — we may use them to improve PawPawCare without owing you anything for them. Please don't send anything you consider confidential.
11. Third-party services
PawPawCare relies on third parties (for example, hosting, notifications, payments, crash reporting, and AI processing) listed in our Privacy Policy. Their own terms may apply to their parts of the Service, and we're not responsible for third-party services we don't control.
12. Service "as is"
We work hard to make PawPawCare useful and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered on time. Keep your own record of anything critical to your pet's health.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawPawCare isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or missed reminders, and our total liability to you for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid for PawPawCare Plus in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or for harm caused by gross negligence. Some places don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Ending the agreement
You can stop using PawPawCare and delete your account at any time (remember to cancel any subscription in your store settings). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive — like content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue after the agreement ends.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as PawPawCare grows. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app or on this page and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new terms.
We'll send notices about your account, these terms, or the Service by email to your account's address or in the app, and those count as written notice.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Morocco, unless mandatory local consumer law where you live gives you other rights.
17. The rest of the agreement
These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any terms shown at purchase are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't waived it. You can't transfer this agreement to someone else without our permission; we may transfer it to whoever takes over running PawPawCare, as long as your rights under it aren't reduced.
